A Letter From Mr. Montalto
Dear Wall High School Band Families,
My name is Michael Montalto and I am the new Director of Bands for Wall Township High School. I am humbled and honored to take over for the legendary Mr. Hollander and look forward to building upon the tradition of excellence that the Wall Music program is known for. Before my year at WIS, I was the director of bands at Bordentown Regional HS for 13 years. I was very proud of the culture that was built in Bordentown and I am excited to return to the high school level and lead the program at Wall HS.
This packet contains important information regarding the 2025/2026 marching band season. Besides performing at football games this season, I am excited for the Marching Knights to make their competitive debut in the USBands circuit presenting our field show entitled “Pirates.” Enclosed you will find our 2025/2026 schedule along with student/parent contracts which must be signed (electronically with the link provided) and submitted as soon as possible. In order for me to design the drill this summer, I will need to know who is committed for the 2025 season. It is very important that the staff are aware of allergies etc because of all the traveling and time we spend together. All new and returning members must fill out the following Google Form after reading this packet. Link to Google Form here: (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfFw2CES57rG2cH86Or4YNEvLoFXv-Y8rxMw-rJjuI7gZmtkA/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=117237535830616526194).
You will also find information for “Remind” which I will be using throughout the season. Enclosed you will also find information from Mrs. Rausch, our band booster president.
Being a member of Marching Knights requires teamwork, musicianship, uniformity and showmanship. Attendance at all events is mandatory in order to have a successful season. Marching band camp is mandatory for all members. The one week camp is a necessity in order to start learning drill movements for the field show. Field show music and drum major/section leader information will be posted on the Marching Band Google Classroom (code:mxlzrtex) within the next few days.
I hope everyone has a safe and happy summer. If you need to contact me during the summer months please email me at mmontalto@wallpublicschools.org. I look forward to seeing everybody at camp and getting to know all of your families this year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Michael Montalto
Director of Bands
