Service & Leadership Academy

The Service & Leadership Academy is open to EVERY student. No placement exam is required.

Students who are interested in the following career fields: Public safety, Public service, Service science (NASA), Law, Government, Social services, Education, Military or the Clergy.

Service & Leadership Academy students are required to complete a minimum of 100 community service hours annually. Students in the academy are required to participate in National History Day at Monmouth University in
grades 9-11.

Through this academy students have the opportunity to earn up to $250,000 in U.S. Military Academy scholarships. Service and Leadership Academy students may apply for the National NJROTC Scholarship which affords students the opportunity to earn full college tuition with 4 years of military service post college graduation. Students may earn the Legion 529 Scholarship as well as the Allaire’s Women’s Club Scholarship. Students in the academy may apply for one of the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for U.S. high school students through the American Legion known as Boys State. In the classroom, students are engaged in Project-Based Learning. Membership in the academy could potentially strengthen your college and/or scholarship applications.

Absolutely! Your students will have the choice of taking college preparatory, honors and/or Advanced Placement (AP) courses.
